Licence Register Checks

Every operator on the site is checked against the Gambling Commission public register before anything else happens. We take the licence number from the operator’s own footer, look it up, and confirm two things: that the status is active and that the domain we are on appears among that licensee’s listed websites. An operator that fails either test is not scored, it is excluded.

Our main ranking contains Gambling Commission licensees only, which is why the licence tier column below reads the same for all twenty. Offshore operators are audited separately, against their own regulator’s validator, and recorded on the labelled pages where they appear rather than mixed into this table.

Two entries in that table repeat, and it is worth explaining rather than leaving it to look like an error. Ladbrokes and Coral trade under the same Entain licence, and talkSPORT BET and Parimatch under the same BV Gaming licence. Shared licences are normal where one company operates several brands, and we record the number the operator actually trades under rather than inventing a separate one per brand.

Deposit Tests and Payment Method Availability

These are the betting deposit methods tested on each account, recorded from the operator’s own banking rules and confirmed at the deposit screen. Every row was checked on 8 September 2026. The column that matters most is the last one: the payment routes that void the welcome offer if you use them. It catches more readers out than any other condition, because the deposit goes through and the free bets simply never arrive.

Two failures are worth recording rather than smoothing over. At Paddy Power the e-wallets are accepted by the cashier but raise the minimum deposit to £30 and disqualify the welcome offer, so a £5 PayPal deposit does not do what the headline implies. At Sky Bet no e-wallet works at any stage, which rules the account out entirely for anyone who runs their betting through PayPal.

Bonus Terms Audit

This is the bonus terms audit: the significant conditions we verified on each offer, read from the operator’s own terms rather than from its banner. Every row was checked on 8 September 2026, and offers are re-checked monthly because they move more often than anything else on this page.

Three findings from that audit are worth pulling out. Only two of the twenty offers carry wagering at all, and the 10x requirement at 10bet is the heaviest condition on the page. Not one offer returns the free bet stake with the winnings, so a £30 free bet at 2.0 pays £30 rather than £60. And the expiry spread is wider than most readers expect: fourteen of the twenty give seven days, while Betfair, Paddy Power, Bally Bet and 10bet allow thirty.

Payout Windows We Score Against

These are the payout time commitments each operator publishes per method. They are the operator’s figures, not ours, and the table says so in its heading because that distinction is the whole point of this page. The withdrawal criterion scores an operator against the window it commits to and against the minimum it will pay out, not against a single timing from a single account.

Two structural facts sit behind every row and neither is optional in the UK. Identity checks have to clear before a first payout is released, so a withdrawal requested before verification is complete will sit waiting however fast the method is. And withdrawals return to the deposit method wherever possible, which is why a Paysafecard deposit needs a second route out and why the fastest published window is irrelevant if you funded the account another way.

How to Use This Data and Its Limits

We would rather set out what this page cannot tell you than let it carry more weight than it deserves.

  • Sample size is small. Each record comes from one or two accounts opened by our reviewers, not from a panel, so a result is evidence that something worked on a real UK account rather than a statistical average;
  • Dates matter. Offers and payment rules change frequently, and a condition verified on the date shown may already have moved;
  • Your account is not ours. Identity check state, deposit method, account age and the operator’s own risk checks all change what you experience, and a first withdrawal behaves differently from a tenth;
  • Operator-stated windows are commitments, not guarantees, and weekends and bank holidays extend the bank-transfer rows in particular;
  • Shared licences mean two brands can share a compliance record while running entirely different products and terms.

The tables here are re-checked monthly alongside the reviews they support, and each full review is rebuilt once a quarter. If a figure on this page does not match what you found on the operator’s own terms, tell us and we will check it and log the change under our Corrections & Updates Policy rather than editing it quietly.

Readers are welcome to send us their own timed withdrawals with evidence, and some do. If we use one it is labelled as reader-reported, with the method and the date, and it is never mixed into the rows above or counted towards a score. Reader reports tell us where to look; they do not set a rating.
